Last week, the Anti-Defamation League enlivened their Boston gala event with Wiffiti! Prodded by thought-starters such as “Everyone should have the right of free speech- even organized hate groups” and “One way to support someone who has been the target of prejudice or discrimination is to…,” the crowd immediately started txting out loud, sparking a thoughtful (and, more importantly, public) conversation.

Now presenting… The Deadly Phone Virus Scare of ‘07.

A tech-savvy prankster in Pakistan sent out a widespread message stating that those receiving it would be killed 20 minutes later by a deadly mobile virus.

The scare worked. Mosques in Karachi legitimized the virus and warned that citizens should “be aware of God’s wrath.”

Slashdot reports that servers soaked in chilled oil baths will soon hit the market. Without the need for fans or AC, the new servers will cut power consumption by almost half.

And I bet they make a great bread dip, too!

Cingular and Nokia have teamed up with Andy Warhol to produce a specialty camera phone that, despite its hit-you-over- the-head kitschiness, is actually still pretty cool.

The phone allows you to take a pic and then upload it to a gallery where it receives “the Warhol treatment.” I imagine this could get old pretty fast, but it would be neat for at least a day…

But whether it’s worth the predicted $1500 price tag?
I’d go with no.
